If you are an elected official from Texas, you are required to devote your life to Fuhrer Donald Trump. Both Senators from the ‘Lone Star State’ are radicals and incompetent. John Cornyn is the senior senator, and a Trump loyalist. He is stepping forward to become the leader of Trump’s fascist army.

The issue at this time is the nomination of Rear Admiral Ronny Jackson to lead the Bureau of Veterans Affairs. Led by an investigation by Democratic Senator Jon Tester from Montana, Jackson eventually withdrew from his nomination.

Most importantly, Jackson was woefully unqualified to lead the VA. It is an enormous agency with a budget in the billions. Jackson has no experience in overseeing such a challenging position. In addition, it was discovered that Jackson has a personal problem with alcohol consumption; freely prescribed drugs including opioids; and created a ‘hostile work environment’ in the White House.

Cornyn continues to defend Jackson and is attacking Tester for doing the right thing. One single statement from Cornyn offers additional proof that Republican’s primary concerns are elections.

“I’m frankly a little surprised at how emboldened he has felt,” said Sen. John Cornyn (Tex.), the second-ranking Republican senator. Cornyn added: “He apparently isn’t too worried about the election.”

Republicans have no interest in doing the right thing. All of their decisions are focused on supporting special interests, and seeking reelection. Cornyn is a ‘party man.’ His failed party is more important than his country. His loyalty is not to the people of Texas or to the citizens of the United States. He is devoted to Trump, McConnell, and other GOP politicians.

 Cornyn is another poster boy for term limits.
