GOP politicians would like you to forget that during the 2016 campaign, with few exceptions, they banded together to prevent Donald Trump from winning their party’s presidential nomination. “Dump Trump,” “Anybody but Trump,” and other movements all focused on defeating a man they called ‘unqualified,’ ‘unfit,’ ‘immoral,’ and a ‘danger to our nation.’

All of this was true, and I hoped that I was witnessing a resurgence of the real Republican Party. I was very wrong. This group of Republicans in name only resorted to lies and hypocrisy after Vladimir Putin and Robert Mercer helped Trump win the Electoral College on November 8, 2016.

Desperate to make their party relevant, an entire political party bows to the worst president in 229 years. Trump is everything they called him before the election, but now support him, and have in fact removed the legislative branch from our government.

The majority of the American people; those of us who are not millionaires or billionaires; must face the truth. The Republican Party is the enemy of the majority. They ignore our nation’s people and serve special interests. They unconditionally support their illegitimate president whose policies are opposed to the welfare of our nation’s people, and has removed the first amendment from our Constitution.

Every Republican in Washington is fully aware that Trump is a danger to our nation’s future. They don’t care. They care about their party and winning elections. It is significant that our Washington politicians are members of our nation’s 10.8 million millionaires, and support those they emulate; 560 billionaires.

We need no other proof than the statement made by Republicans in the House recently. They issued a final result about the investigation into Trump’s collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign. They stood before the television cameras and declared that Trump and his staff had no involvement with the Russians. A preponderance of evidence proves the opposite.

First of all, it should be obvious to every American that Republicans are protecting their fuhrer. This was the shoddiest investigation in history, led by one of America’s greatest traitors, Devin Nunes. A weak effort, which failed to call knowledgeable witnesses, or to demand answers from the few they did call before them, made this Republican controlled “effort” no more than a farce. The many, many contacts with Russian agents by Trump’s staff and family confirms collusion. A statement by their illegitimate president confirmed that they accomplished their goal; to soothe the ego of their failed president.

“We were honored. It was a great report, no collusion, which I knew anyway, no coordination, no nothing. It’s a witch hunt, that’s all it is. There was no collusion with Russia, you can believe this one. She (Merkel) probably can’t believe it, who can? But the report was very powerful, very strong, there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian people. Cause I’ve said many times before, I’ve always said there was no collusion, but I’ve also said there has been nobody tougher on Russia than me. With that all being said, if we can get along with Russia, that’s a good thing, not a bad thing, but there has been nobody tougher on Russia than me.”

This is a sad retort from the orange man. It is filled with lies, and none are more egregious than the last. Trump has licked Putin’s boots for years. They began a relationship in 2005, and Trump will continue to bow to his master throughout his illegitimate presidency; for as long as it lasts.

The once Grand Old Party is the enemy of a nation. I cannot wait until November 6^th and cast my vote in opposition to every Republican candidate. They are cowards and hypocrites.

As an Independent, this will be the first time I will vote purely along a party line. We must rid our nation of this plague and take our country back. Join me; you’ll be glad you did.
