Trump’s nominee to lead the Veterans Administration, Ronny Jackson, was a woefully unqualified man; as are all of Trump’s nominees. The tradition continued.
At the core of all errors and failures is Donald John Trump. He makes all of the decisions, and this is why Republicans have confirmed my allegation that they are incompetent; they do not know how to govern effectively.
The sad truth is that when Trump makes a mistake, he lies about it in a pitiful effort to cover up his error.
In the case of Ronny Jackson, he was not vetted at all. This can be said of most of Trump’s nominees, but Jackson’s may be the pinnacle of his failures.
Democratic Senator from Montana, Jon Tester, was concerned about Jackson’s lack of qualifications to lead such a huge agency. Then he discovered situations which should have been addressed by the Trump administration. Jackson apparently has a drinking problem, and co-workers claim that under his leadership there exists a ‘hostile work environment.’
Trump made a poor choice, and is now attempting to follow his pattern of blaming someone else for his mistakes. He is calling for the resignation of Senator Tester. Really!
“Allegations made by Senator Jon Tester against Admiral/Doctor Ron Jackson are proving false,” Trump wrote in a pair of tweets. “The Secret Service is unable to confirm (in fact they deny) any of the phony Democrat charges which have absolutely devastated the wonderful Jackson family. Tester should resign. The………great people of Montana will not stand for this kind of slander when talking of a great human being. Admiral Jackson is the kind of man that those in Montana would most respect and admire, and now, for no reason whatsoever, his reputation has been shattered. Not fair, Tester!”
The problem with these tweets is that it they are a lie.
Jackson’s character has been revealed by 23 members of the military who served for or with him. He was dispensing drugs freely, and once destroyed a government vehicle while driving impaired. The records confirm these facts; Trump is again attempting to hide the fact the he is ‘America’s biggest loser.’
Trump has been in office for 15 months and eight days. I wake up each day hoping that the nightmare is over; sadly it continues.
