When did the Republican party decide that violence, torture, and even murder became acceptable? Was it at the same time that they ignored the fact that the man who won the party’s presidential nomination was a racist, a bigot, a misogynist, and lacked a moral conscience?
Trump is not only the worst president in history, he is the worst man in America. But let’s not forget Mike Pence. Pence is a homophobe, fears sexuality, and is a Christian in name only. Like most politicians, he chooses which parts of the Bible to believe.
A man can not be a Christian if he does not believe in all of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Never forget that Pence was the first governor to lobby for and sign anti-gay laws in Indiana. This is not Christian. If I remember correctly, Jesus said “love one another as I have loved you.” He did not offer exceptions to this commandment. Jesus did not say “love one another as I have loved you unless they are gay, poor, sexually promiscuous, or a liberal.”
Pence has a new hero. The man he now claims to admire is a racist and a bigot who tortured, and murdered Hispanics while they were in his jail. He also ignored complaints of child molestation in Hispanic communities; he did not believe that they were worthy of his time and effort. For years Joe Arpaio committed atrocities against the inmates of Maricopa County Jail in Arizona; he was never prosecuted. Arpaio was found guilty of refusing to obey the orders of a federal judge. You may remember that Trump pardoned the vile and disgusting very old man. “Birds of a feather….”
Pence was speaking in Arizona, lying about Trump’s destructive tax reform bill, and couldn’t resist praising Arpaio, who now wants to be a United States Senator. Pence described the vile old man as a “tireless champion” of both “strong borders” and “the rule of law.” This is a description our vice president offered a man found guilty of criminal contempt of court, among other sins.
What the hell has happened to our government. How can the American people allow leaders who lack morals and principles to hold our nation’s highest elected positions? Anyone who voted for Trump and Pence have no self-respect, and obviously agree with their white supremacist and bigoted opinions. I am ashamed of this America; it is not my America or the America of our founding fathers. Trump is not an American president, and his party has accepted fascism and allowed the destruction of democracy, while supporting special interests.
Trump, Pence, McConnell, Ryan, Cruz, King, Cornyn, Nunes, and many more are traitors to the American people. The entire Republican Party is the enemy of the majority of the American people.
All I can say is please vote on November 6th.
