Ty Cobb is a fading memory. The White House announced today that one of the last remaining lawyers representing Donald Trump has “retired.” Mimicking Trump’s advisers and cabinet, the turnover rate within the orange man’s inner circle is historic.
Cobb is being replaced by the lawyer who represented President Clinton during his impeachment hearings, Emmet Flood.
Trump has made history in the 15 months and 12 days he has been your illegitimate president. His administration has accomplished the least of any presidency in history. One bill of any importance has been passed purely along partisan lines, and it will harm the majority. Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president in history during their first year. The turnover rate within his circle of sinners is 44 percent; no other administration comes close to this fact.
The truth is that Trump’s reputation is the reason no one wants to work for him. His temperament is volatile. He changes his mind so frequently that no one can follow a specific agenda. He is our national embarrassment. And he doesn’t pay those who work for him.
I can’t wait to hear the lies which will come from Emmet Flood. No one can work for Trump unless they are willing to lie; about everything. As Robert Mueller is ‘tightening the noose’ around Trump’s neck, can the late hiring of an attorney be effective? The investigation into Russia’s proven interference into our 2016 election began before the election.
This is what Trump tweeted less than one month ago.
“I have agreed with the historically cooperative, disciplined approach that we have engaged in with Robert Mueller (Unlike the Clintons!). I have full confidence in Ty Cobb, my Special Counsel, and have been fully advised throughout each phase of this process.”
Rudy Giuliani, who made the announcement, said this today.
“Ty has given us the benefit of some really great work,” Giuliani said. “And Emmet Flood is a great replacement.” Us? Rudy, boy, you just got there.
Finally, I cannot imagine working in the Trump White House. I am certain that the West Wing staff is very pleased that Trump is away from the White House 34 percent of the time, and that he schedules approximately three hours each day to “work” before he returns to the television.
