I read the above title on Facebook, and I love it. The truth is that if you call yourself a ‘Christian,’ you cannot support Donald Trump. If you do support him, you are a fake-Christian; one of millions who reject the teachings of Jesus Christ. One of Christ’s commandments says it all; “do unto others as I would do unto you.”
Jesus would not have been a sexual predator. Jesus would not approve of Trump’s constant lying. Jesus would reject Trump’s criminal record. Jesus would denounce Trump’s encouragement of hatred and violence.
First of all, if you don’t already know, I do not believe in organized religion. I do not need another man who assumes a position of power and influence to instruct me about how to live my life. Spirituality is something every man and woman must strive to achieve every day we live. We know the answers, but we must be willing to do the right thing. No man will ever convince me to take such action with mere words, or words from a book which was written by a man.
All religions have certain teachings which can help men achieve their goals. However, none of them have all the answers. Truth be told, the most admirable of all religions began somewhere between the 6th and 4th centuries BC in India. Buddhism encompasses multiple traditions, beliefs and spiritual practises which are attributed to the teachings of the original Buddha, reportedly born ‘Siddhārtha Gautama.‘
Buddhism’s core beliefs in respect for all living things; living a simple life of self examination; and firm belief in non-violence far surpass more modern religions who value possessions over living creatures, and all too often choose violence as a solution to difficult problems and disagreements.
Trump has yet to look for enlightenment; spirituality. His only god is money, and he has stated himself that because he has money and power, he maintains his right to use others as he wishes for his personal enjoyment. Trump will never serve the American people; he believes that he has the right to rule over them. His ignorant supporters accept him as their sovereign, not as their legitimate leader.
There are far fewer real Christians in the world than you might imagine. There are more legitimate Muslims. However, a relatively small number of those who profess to be dedicated to the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, have misused the words of the Quran for their own vile purposes.
Trump is not a religious man, and when he attends a church service, it is all a facade.
What is most disturbing is that after the many revelations of Trump’s sexual deviances and therefore his use of women for his personal pleasure, Evangelicals continue to support him. This is final proof that Evangelicals are not Christians; they do not believe in the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ.
