After Trump made one of the worst decisions of his illegitimate presidency when he recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, hope for peace in the middle east disappeared. His complete support of Israel and denial of the rights of Palestinians guaranteed that the murder of hundreds and possibly thousands of Palestinians would continue and likely escalate.
Today, with the opening of a new United States embassy in Jerusalem, Trump offered a guarantee to the world that the conflicts between Jews and Muslims would never end in one small area of the Middle East, and most likely throughout the region.
Today dozens of Palestinians, armed with rocks, confronted Israeli soldiers at the Gaza checkpoint. So far nearly four dozen Palestinians have been murdered by the Israelis, and thousands have been injured.
While this tragedy was happening, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Steve Mnuchin were celebrating the opening of the embassy. Drinking champagne, and dining on other expensive ours de oeuvres, they had no concern; no compassion for the loss of life occurring just minutes away from the party.
Trump is responsible for the lives lost today. He is an ignorant and needy man who has no concern for the lives of other human beings.
Trump, his family, and his circle of sinners are inhuman and opposed to the principles of our founding fathers. If this is acceptable to you; you are not a true American. Our country was founded on human rights and individual freedoms; Trump wants to take away the promises offered by Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Madison, and the others.
A final note. Whether you support Israel or the Palestinian people, the truth is that protests are patriotic. When one group is armed with stones, and another is armed with military assault rifles, this is an unfair fight, and the result can only be called murder.
On November 8, 2016, America joined many nations in the world who favor autocrats; despots; as their leaders. Democracy is dying in America, and this fact will eventually destroy the dream of our founding fathers.
