President Obama was supported by the best of the best. Renowned scholars, the world’s greatest scientists, esteemed philosophers, experienced and talented diplomats all found reason to admire and praise our nation’s intelligent and extremely competent president. Trump’s most avid supporters are different. White supremacists including Ted Nugent, David Duke, Roseanne Barr, and others would continue to believe Trump’s lies if he was hung on the White House lawn for committing treason.

One entire party serves their fuhrer while ignoring the future of 320 million people. It is unforgivable to know that politicians in the once Grand Old Party believe that they have the right to rule over the American people and not to serve them. Although there are many issues which Republicans refuse to support regardless of the fact that the polls reveal that the majority of Americans want solved, two stand out above the rest.

Most Americans support gun control and same-sex marriage. However, two lobbies, who are owners of the Republican Party, are opposed to both issues, and that is how these hypocritical men and women vote.

The NRA gun lobby gives millions of dollars to Republican candidates every election year. Money is more important than the American people for all Republicans.

The Christian religious right is the only reason GOP politicians are opposed to same-sex marriage. Truth be told, all Republicans are joined with Mike Pence and have a fatal case of ‘pretend’ homophobia.

The same individuals and groups who continue to support President Obama denounce Trump’s policies. The same white supremacists who support Trump, continue to blame President Obama for Trump’s mistakes and credit Trump with Mr. Obama’s accomplishments.

A final question; do you respect intelligence, common sense, and compassion for your fellow man, or do you support anger, hatred, violence, and racism? Which “qualities” you choose define which president you prefer. I believe that you know my choice; hint; his skin is black, not orange.
