Once again there is proof that the truth; facts; are dangerous to the future of the Trump administration and the entire Republican Party. While Puerto Rico remains in shambles as the Trump administration is ignoring the plight of 3.4 million American citizens, who just happen to be mostly Hispanic, the number of deaths caused by Hurricane Maria has been accurately reported. The Trump administration claims that 64 lives were lost. The actual number reported by the authorities on the island of Puerto Rico is 4,645.

Although the initial loss of life reported immediately after the disaster was far less, deaths from physical injury, disease, and failure by FEMA to offer timely aid to the victims have resulted in numbers which are unacceptable and even criminal.

I am one of few writers who continue to bring the disaster which continues in Puerto Rico to the forefront of America’s conscience. Television “news” has failed these Americans in support of their illegitimate president. This is more reason not to watch these vacuous broadcasts.

The truth will save America, and the right wing cannot handle the truth. If all Americans choose to be informed, not a single Republican politician would receive a vote in any future election. This “Republican Party in name only” has failed the American people for decades. Let’s help them retire.

Vote for younger men and women who will support you in Washington. The age of our congress is far above the average age of all Americans at 37.8 years of age. Older is not necessarily wiser. The vast majority of our elected officials place their personal interests ahead of the American people.
