On May 18 Trump met with a few of the parents of the children killed at Santa Fe High School in Texas. Reporters were not allowed inside of the event. However, one parent described what happened inside of that closed meeting.
Rhonda Hart, whose 14-year-old daughter, Kimberly Vaughan, was killed at the school, told The Associated Press that Trump repeatedly used the word ‘wacky’ to describe the shooter and the trench coat he wore. She said she told Trump, “Maybe if everyone had access to mental health care, we wouldn’t be in the situation.” (Trump removed President Obama’s restrictions on gun sales to mental patients.)
Hart, an Army veteran, said she also suggested employing veterans as sentinels in schools. She said Trump responded, “And arm them?” She replied, “No,” but said Trump “kept mentioning” arming classroom teachers. “It was like talking to a toddler,” Hart said.
Once again, America has sufficient proof that their illegitimate president is mentally unfit to lead our nation. Trump’s lack of intellect has been noted by Rex Tillerson, James Mattis, John Kelly, and others, but Republicans in congress refuse to take action and save our nation’s future.
As a septuagenarian, who has loved his country for his entire life, I am embarrassed to have this clown in the White House. His lack of ability to use the English language and constant attacks on everyone who disagrees with his vile proposals are very upsetting. I remember every president since Eisenhower, and Trump is not an American president.
Most importantly, this article proves once again that Trump is all rhetoric and no action. He will do nothing about the danger of guns to the American people. Trump stands with the NRA which gave him $30 million for his campaign in 2016. Trump’s only concern is Trump. He does not serve the American people, he serves his only ‘god,’ money. Trump is the biggest mistake ever made by the American people, and his failed party accepts his fascist and illegitimate presidency.
Time for change in November.
