My how things changed in just 16 months and 12 days. Just a short time ago America was served by a president who loved his country and his fellow man. Hate groups remained in the shadows, and hope shone brightly for our nation’s future. After a ‘rigged’ election our nation’s people have lost hope, and are divided more than at any other time since the Civil War.

Hispanics are under attack in a similar manner to Jews under the rule of Adolf Hitler. Hitler has his gestapo, and Trump has ICE. Working class Americans, low-income workers, and families living below the poverty line have been ignored in Trump’s America. Nothing has been done to save the lives of nearly 60 million Americans each year who lose their lives from a drug overdose. Mass shootings have grown at an alarming rate, committed by white terrorists, and one entire political party continues to support a lobby and ignore the safety of the majority of the American people.

One of the problems with Trump’s administration is its high level of ignorance. Almost none of them have experience in government; their only expertise is focused on increasing their personal wealth. They hurriedly pass laws and regulations without consideration of the side effects of what could be a bad law. A perfect example of this idiocy is a law which requires a charge of murder for a drug trafficker if he or she can be associated with a deceased individual who received the drugs from that specific drug dealer. Because the law is poorly written, if one person shares a drug with a loved one, he or she is often charged under the same law if a death is drug-related. It is obvious that this was not the original purpose of the law. However, ignorant right wing men and women continue to believe in a ‘eye for an eye,’ regardless of the situation.

Our country is a mess, and as long as Republican hypocrites and Trump’s ignorant supporters serve his fascist demands, the America of our founding fathers is in jeopardy. We cannot survive in the 21^st century without a government which protects democracy and our Constitution.

Fight back; vote all Republicans out of office in November. Trump must be defeated.
