When Did Virginia Become our Nation’s most Racist State?

KKK

After the final votes were counted for the primary election in Virginia on Tuesday, Democrat Tim Kaine was chosen to compete for reelection in November. His Republican opponent will be Corey Stewart. Stewart is not a real Republican, he is a self-proclaimed Nazi. However, Republican voters chose him over a true GOP politician. This is frightening, to say the least.

Nearly every Republican politician is backing away from Stewart, with the exception of the white supremacist who is occasionally in the Oval Office; Donald John Trump.

Stewart made “preserving his heritage” the focal point of his campaign. He frequently appeared at rallies in front of a large Confederate Flag, and continues to denounce the removal of statues depicting ‘heroes of the Confederacy.’

Here’s a fun fact; Stewart is actually from Minnesota. His heritage is not based in the south; he is a ‘yankee’ who has chosen to be a member of the Confederacy.

During his campaign, Stewart was often joined by Jason Kessler. Kessler was one of the organizers of the now infamous Nazi march in Charlottesville. Kessler claims not to be a white supremacist, but has this to say.

I do think that the Democrats are explicitly trying to flood white countries with nonwhite people,” Kessler said.

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.”

Lastly, a couple of facts; something which all Republicans hate. Since Trump’s nomination in July of 2016, hate crimes have risen by 800 percent. Five openly racists are running for public office; more than at any other time in our nation’s history. Experiencing verbal and physical abuse are minorities, Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, the LGBTQ community, and all women. Trump has multiple men who support white nationalism in his cabinet and as his closest advisers. They include, but are not exclusive to Jeff Sessions, Steven Miller, and John Kelly. Two former members would have been part of the group; Steve Bannon, and Sebastian Gorka. America’s ‘dirty little secret;’ that racism continues to be a serious problem for our nation; has rushed from the shadows now that there is a like-minded leader defiling the White House.
