For probably the 1,000th time; “if Trump’s lips or thumbs are moving, he’s lying.” On Friday Trump gave an impromptu “news conference.” Here are some to the things he said.
Asked about the deplorable situation regarding immigration.
“That’s a Democrat bill; that’s Democrats wanting to do that,” Trump said about immigration officials separating children from their parents at the border.
If you believe this lie, you should not be allowed to vote. This is Trump’s policy and even members of his own party are displeased that children are separated from their parents. Does Donny Boy not know that his party is in control of congress?
Asked about his meeting with dictator and mass murderer, Kim Jong-un.
“Hey, he’s the head of a country, and he’s the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention,” Trump said. “I want my people to do the same.”
Trump dreams of being a monarch or at the very least a fuhrer. He aligns himself constantly with dictators and tyrants, past and present, while attacking our closest allies. The word is ‘traitor,’ and the description is ‘un-American.’
Asked about the Inspector General’s Report.
“The report yesterday may be more important than anything — totally exonerates me. There was no collusion, there was no obstruction and if you read the report, you’ll see that,” Trump said.
First of all, it is obvious that once again, he did not read the document. There was nothing about Russia in the report. It focused primarily on the FBI; specifically James Comey. It defended Hillary Clinton, and indicated that Comey made poor decisions and may have contributed to Trump’s gift from the Electoral College.
Asked about the revelation that he dictated Donny Boy Jr’s first statement about meeting with Russian agents in Trump Tower.
“Let’s not talk about it,” Trump said when asked about the statement. “You know what that is? It’s irrelevant. It’s a statement to the New York Times, the phony, failing New York Times. That’s not a statement to a high tribunal of judges. That’s a statement to the phony New York Times.”
Not relevant? This was admitted collusion, and I’m certain that it matters to Robert Mueller.
Asked about his plan to meet with Vladimir Putin and how he will discuss the 2014 invasion and annexation of Crimea by Russia.
“President Obama lost Crimea,” Trump said. “Putin didn’t respect President Obama.”
Throughout his pitiful and destructive 16 months and 27 days in office Trump has been consistent. He continues to take credit for President Obama’s successes, and blames the former real President for his many, many mistakes. And by the way; he does not respect you either, but he does own you.
I am more ashamed every day that this whiny, schoolyard bully is allowed to claim the title of President of the United States. I have witnessed 12 presidents in my lifetime. Not all of them were great, and some were ‘not-so-great.’ However, none have been as deplorable as the orange man, and I will never accept him as my president.
