There is a very old adage that ‘you can’t compare apples and oranges.’ This is exactly what the right wing is attempting to do with Trump’s outrageous policy of separating children from their parents.

Let’s begin with the truth. Our nation has a long standing policy of giving asylum to refugees from nations who continuously commit human rights atrocities. This is the reason why our nation has millions of Koreans and Vietnamese in our nation today, among others. The current situation involves families from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras for the most part.

There is a process which allows asylum which is difficult but necessary.

One of the most ridiculous “examples” of ‘alternative facts’ and hypocrisy was offered just last evening from FOX Noise. The right wing propaganda machine attempted to compare female American citizens who have been convicted of crimes, and their children are either given to family members or foster care to the incarceration and separation from their families of children illegally crossing our borders.

In many cases these women who have committed crimes should have had their children removed long ago. These women made their choices, and their children remain in America. There is no way that one situation can be compared to the other. Would the alternative be to place children in our nation’s prisons with their criminal parent? Common sense is in great danger of extinction in our nation today.

I don’t care about your politics or your beliefs, the fact is that I and all other intelligent Americans are fed up with the constant lies from the right wing. Trump, Republican politicians, and FOX Noise are incapable of being truthful.

Beginning in July of 2016 there have been so many lies by the right wing in a desperate effort to protect Donald J. Trump, that today they have forgotten what they lied about and contradict themselves frequently.

America was better than this. The destruction of our government began almost three decades ago when Republicans lost their principles and morals and began to focus solely on special interest groups. Today they are ‘Republican in name only.’ With the illegitimate election of ‘Trumpenstein,’ the process has escalated. White supremacy, homophobia, Islamophobia, and xenophobia dominate the Trump administration. Our nation will never be ‘great’ when these problems continue to not only exist, but escalate under the rule of one man and his circle of sinners.

So let’s all show Republicans what we think of their lies and misdirection; remove all of them from office in November. Not one of them is worthy of your vote.
