Trump and Wilbur Ross jointly agreed to place tariffs on imports from China. This decision was not a bad decision, it was moronic. Trump has been blundering through his illegitimate presidency for almost 17 months, attempting to please his supporters and keep campaign promises. He has no clue about what he is doing. The result has been enormous damage to our nation’s future; much of which is likely irreversible.

Trump is under a miguided impression that China has more to lose than the United States. He is drastically uninformed and mistaken. China is an autocratic nation and is able to take actions instantaneously which could cost American business billions of dollars.

First of all, let’s offer the facts, although this will anger the right wing. Most of our imports from China are assembled goods manufactured for American companies such as Apple phones, and other electronics. Also included are Trump and his daughter Ivanka’s clothing lines, although it is understood that the Trump family’s products will be exempt from tariffs. Is anyone surprised? Can you say ‘ethics violations?’

Another fact is that many of the products purchased from China by American businesses are not available from any other manufacturer. Trump is completely ignorant about international relations, and has no interest in domestic issues most important to the majority of the American people.

If the mainstream media did not hold Trump to the lowest possible standards in America, he would have been laughed out of office by now.

Trump should be wearing a clown costume instead of an ill-fitting suit and an elongated red tie. Trump’s personal expenses are adding hundreds of millions of dollars to our nation’s deficit. His decisions, including his failed “tax reform,” will cost our nation trillions of dollars over the next 10 years. His tariffs will cost American farmers and manufacturers hundreds of millions in revenue.

Trump has been the most expensive and destructive illegitimate president in history, and it has only been 17 months. How much will hypocritical Republicans allow their fuhrer to destroy before they lose their party?
