New Tariff’s Will Forever be Known as “Trump’s Folly”

Trump (4)

President Obama left office on January 20, 2017. Our nation was in full recovery. The stock market was experiencing record highs, and unemployment was in decline. For the first 16 months of Trump’s administration, what began with President Obama continued.

Wilbur Ross and Steven Miller convinced an un-educated and uninformed Donald Trump that if he placed tariffs on imports from foreign nations our companies would have less competition for its manufactured goods and his base would support him. Here’s the problem; none of them have any idea about the function of international commerce.

Today a third major American company criticized Trump’s tariffs. Already the name for this moronic idea is being known a “Trump’s Folly.”

Harley Davidson and Snap-on previously denounced tariffs. Harley Davidson is closing at least on plant in Wisconsin and moving to Europe where they are experiencing a growing market. They will save at least $2,200 per motorcycle. Snap-on already has factories in foreign nations.

Today General Motors had this to say about the stupidity of Trump’s unilateral actions.

Trump’s tariffs will “lead to a smaller GM, a reduced presence at home and abroad for this iconic American company, and risk less — not more — U.S. jobs.”

Does anyone remember Trump’s lies about the successes of President Obama? Then he shouted to his ignorant supporters “jobs, jobs, jobs.” Where has there been a significant increase in jobs other than programs which began under Mr. Obama’s administration?

Sadly, Americans who will suffer most from his ignorance, arrogance and complete failure are his own supporters.

Please tell others about my blog. I have always promised the truth and I will not fail you.
