For years Trump has attempted to discredit the legitimate press and support the right-wing propaganda machine, FOX Noise. This is strange because the television “news” was one of the factors resulting in his gift from the Electoral College. Trump received five-times more coverage than all other candidates combined.

Regardless, he personally attacks individual reporters while calling most valid news agencies ‘fake-news.’ One CNN reporter called him out for his recent hypocrisy.

While touting his destructive tax plan’s six-month anniversary, he finally took time away from his ‘hate rallies’ to address the mass shooting in Baltimore, Maryland. This is the fourth major mass shooting under Trump’s watch. We know from past experience that he will do nothing to protect innocent men, women, and children.

“This attack shocked the conscience of our nation and filled our hearts with grief,” Trump said. “Journalists, like all Americans, should be free from the fear of being violently attacked while doing their job.”

Nice words, but they are empty. CNN’s John Berman called Trump out for his history of vicious verbal attacks on the press.

“He has been doing it since he started campaigning, he has been doing it since he became president, and he did it just this week,” Berman said.

Berman’s comments were followed by a montage of Trump attacking the press in past speeches and rallies, including calling media “fake news,” “absolute scum,” “disgusting” and “very dishonest.”

Trump shares many of the views and philosophies of Hitler. The two most obvious are is efforts to force ignorant Americans to believe that all ‘legitimate’ news emanates from the government via FOX Noise. The second is that ‘if you tell a lie often enough and frequently enough, the uninformed citizen will accept it as truth.’

A free press is dangerous to Trump’s rule; the truth exposes reality, and this is not where Trump exists. In his mind he is a king; an autocrat; or a dictator.

I believe that the fact Trump’s lack of respect for anyone else but himself is unforgivable and what makes him the most hated man in the world; he’s earned that label.
