Today is a good day for America. Scott Pruitt, a traitor to the office he led, the EPA, and one of the most corrupt politicians in modern history resigned. He gave the reason as “the unrelenting attacks” on himself and his family, which “have taken a sizable toll on all of us.” There are many more members of Trump’s circle of sinners who must follow him; the sooner the better.
I wonder if the woman with a baby who challenged him at a restaurant made a difference. I believe it may have contributed to his doing the right thing; the power of people can be devastating. Thank you Maxine Waters.
After wasting tens-of-thousands of taxpayer dollars and giving favors to lobbyists from the gas and oil industry, Pruitt was at the top of every patriotic American’s list. Once again Trump refused to face his failed EPA Administrator; he accepted his resignation with another tweet.
“I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency,” Trump tweeted. “Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this.”
If “an outstanding job” refers to his attempts to render the EPA useless, he nearly succeeded. The turnover in Trump’s administration is now over 50 percent. This is one record I am certain will never be broken.
Of course, Trump didn’t stop at one tweet, he announced Pruitt’s temporary replacement, Andrew Wheeler.
“I have no doubt that Andy will continue on with our great and lasting EPA agenda. We have made tremendous progress and the future of the EPA is very bright!” Trump tweeted.
If he is careful and refuses to harm Trump’s fragile ego, his future in the administration will last at least a month.
Please tell others about my blog if you value the truth; thank you.
