Trump sent a war monger to do the job of a diplomat; any surprise that he failed? Mike Pompeo, Trump’s poor choice as Secretary of State, attempted to bully North Korean leader Kim Jong-un into agreeing to his version of a nuclear arms agreement. North Korean leaders described Pompeo’s insistence as a “gangster-like mindset,” and that the negotiations were “regrettable.”

Pompeo didn’t see it that way.

“We had many hours of productive conversations,” Pompeo told reporters Saturday in Pyongyang before boarding a flight to Tokyo. “These are complicated issues, but we’ve made progress on almost all the central issues. Some places, a great deal of progress. Other places, there’s still more work to be done.”

The truth is that he failed miserably. He lacks the talent or the intellect to be a competent negotiator.

A final fact. Every national security agency is reporting that North Korea is escalating their nuclear program and developing ways to hide it from the United States. Notch up another fail for Donny Boy and his circle of sinners.
