I ask every Republican in name only holding office in Washington today: ‘Is selling your soul, your country, and your family’s future worth it to win elections and retain power in congress?’

With every passing day I read about and sometimes write about a Republican politician who is lying to save Trump’s ass or lying in the hope of winning reelection. The latest is Jim Jordan; Rep. from Ohio. Jordan denies testimony by several former wrestlers from Ohio State that he aided and abetted sexual assault on team members by a team doctor. These men claim that Jordan turned his back and ignored what was happening to them, although he had full knowledge of the crimes being committed.

 Jordan is well-liked by Trump and just another failed Republican. Since December 8, 2016 every Republican in Washington has bowed to Trump’s demands. They have been losing for so many years that their one opportunity to win is based on being submissive to a fascist.

A group of Republican-only politicians traveled to Moscow last week to grovel at the feet of Vladimir Putin, who was “too busy to see them.” Instead of presenting indisputable evidence that Russia interfered in our election and condemning Putin for his orders to murder his enemies, they bowed and scraped, begging Russian leaders to ‘talk nicely with Trump’ on the 16^th of July when they meet privately in Helsinki.

One of the traitors and hypocrites in that Republican band of cowards was Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. Johnson says that our country is ‘being too hard on the vicious dictator who rules his country with a bloody fist.  If you have half-a-brain you will be stunned by the actual comments made by this traitor, so I will quote the exact words as written by Daily Kos writer, Mark Sumner.

{In an interview with right-wing paper the Washington Examiner, Johnson stated that the Russian interference into the election was “not the biggest threat to our democracy,” and that the Senate has “gone too far” in sanctioning Russia for meddling in U.S. elections. And, like other Republicans who insist on keeping sanctions on Cuba for the last 53 years, Johnson says that the sanctions against Russia “are not working.” Those words are certainly appreciated.}

Did I just read that correctly? Altering the results of our election is not “serious?” The right to vote, contained in the first amendment, was considered the most important right guaranteed in the Constitution by our founding fathers. For Johnson to defend collusion between Trump and Putin is nothing less than treason and both men should be tried, their citizenship revoked, and placed in a federal prison or hung in public as an example for any politician who would consider these actions in the future.

As far as the Senate “going too far,” this is a ludicrous comment. What is the job of the Senate and the House if not to protect and defend the Constitution. If Johnson does not believe in the oath he took, he is welcome to resign.

As an Independent, I am ashamed of the once Grand Old Party which is nothing but an empty shell today. Once strong defenders of its principles of protecting individual rights and a policy of smaller government, this incompetent group wants to control the daily lives of all Americans. These traitors have discarded the ideals of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush.

Johnson shares at least one “quality” with his fuhrer; he has no shame. Republicans must be removed from office and replaced with real Americans.
