Is Treason a Valid Reason to Impeach Trump? If the Answer is “Yes,” Let’s Get on with It!

Trump in Reality

If the NATO meetings were a disaster, Trump’s love fest with Putin was a nuclear meltdown. Of course, the two met in secrecy so no one will ever know what Trump promised his handler. However, if the joint press conference after the two came out from hiding was indicative of their prior conversation, Trump gave Putin the keys to America.

When asked what he thought about Russia’s hacking and how it affected the results of his illegitimate election, he once again denied the irrefutable facts.

“I don’t see any reason why it would be” Russia, Trump says, affirming he believes Putin’s denials. Facts mean nothing to Trump; the truth is his biggest enemy.

Former CIA Director, John Brennan, tweeted the following.

“Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???”

It hasn’t made a difference that I called out the Trump Party for the cowardice and hypocrisy, maybe a man as experienced as Director Brennan will get them off of their fat, old, a**es.

For the first time in 17 months and 26 days a few members of the Trump Party are also speaking up about Trump’s treasonous message in support of his puppeteer.

Speaker Paul Ryan expressed his opinion about Trump’s denial.

“There is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world,” said Ryan, a Republican from Wisconsin, in a statement. “That is not just the finding of the American intelligence community but also the House Committee on Intelligence.”

Ryan continued: “The president must appreciate that Russia is not our ally. There is no moral equivalence between the United States and Russia, which remains hostile to our most basic values and ideals. The United States must be focused on holding Russia accountable and putting an end to its vile attacks on democracy.”

Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell made a short statement.

“I’ve said a number of times and I say it again, the Russians are not our friends and I entirely believe the assessment of our intelligence community.”

Senator John McCain called Trump’s comments; “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory.”

Senator Bob Corker made this statement: “I was very disappointed and saddened with the equivalency that he gave between them (the US intelligence agencies) and what Putin was saying,” said Corker, a Tennessee Republican who is not seeking re-election.

Senator Ben Sasse, Rep. from Nebraska, had this to say.

“This is bizarre and flat-out wrong. The United States is not to blame. America wants a good relationship with the Russian people but Vladimir Putin and his thugs are responsible for Soviet-style aggression,” Sasse said in the statement. “When the President plays these moral equivalence games, he gives Putin a propaganda win he desperately needs.”

“As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I am deeply troubled by President Trump’s defense of Putin against the intelligence agencies of the U.S. & his suggestion of moral equivalence between the U.S. and Russia. Russia poses a grave threat to our national security,” said Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican.

Similar responses were offered by Trey Gowdy, Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham, Jeff Flake, Orin Hatch, and others.

This single sentence from Trump explains why he has offered such effusive praise to Putin, and where his loyalty lies.

“I have real confidence in my intelligence people, but I must tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial,” Trump said.

Trump and Putin colluded to win the 2016 election; there is no longer any doubt. Since 1987 Trump has been a Russian agent. It’s time for Impeachment and an indictment for sedition. Trump’s skin will match his jumpsuit.
