Trump unilaterally decided to end trade agreements with other nations, and then place tariffs on imported goods from those same countries. He will soon learn that bullies don’t survive in the real world.
The world is beginning to understand why Trump failed in business and experienced so many bankruptcies. Trump’s ignorant decision to place tariffs on goods from other nations has resulted in those same countries signing trade agreements with each other and isolating America’s businesses from free trade practices once supported by the Republican Party until it morphed into the Trump Party.
On Tuesday Japan signed a trade agreement with the European Union. This will positively affect approximately 600 million people. The agreement removes or greatly reduces tariffs on such goods as cheese, wine, Japanese auto makers, and electronics.
Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, hailed the agreement as the “largest bilateral trade deal ever.”
“Relations between the European Union and Japan have never been stronger,” he said in a written statement. “Geographically, we are far apart. But politically and economically we could hardly be any closer.”
Business between the two partners exceeded $152 billion last year, and this new arrangement will certainly raise that figure significantly.
A note to American manufacturers and farmers. We feel for you, and although many of you voted for this failed leader, we support your reasons for fear and anger. While Trump is spending more than 16 million taxpayer dollars every month to maintain his lifestyle of the rich and famous, he is screwing the working class. His tax reform bill will add more than $1.8 trillion to the national debt, while placing our economy into another recession, if not a depression. Poverty will continue to increase.
In the 21st century no country can stand alone. Trump doesn’t understand that fact. We talk about the “world’s economy,” not America’s economy. If all of the developed nations are fiscally secure, all the economies of individual nations flourish.
President Stupid will destroy our nation’s future if we allow him too. Remove his hypocritical party from office in November.
