It doesn’t take a genius to see that our government in Washington is failing to perform the jobs for which they were elected. They are self-serving, ambitious, and refuse to protect the future of 320 million Americans. I believe that it’s time to list those who are ignoring the fact that democracy in the United States is on the decline, and our freedoms are under attack from the Trump Party dominated members of congress, and the Trump administration. Here is my first list; there will be additions in the future.

Donald Trump; Mike Pence; Paul Ryan; Mitch McConnell; John Kelly; Steven Miller; Jeff Sessions; Steve Mnuchin; Wilbur Ross; Betsy DeVos; Ben Carson; Jim Mattis; John Cornyn; Rand Paul; Ted Cruz; Marco Rubio; Steve King; Louie Gohmert; Ivanka Trump; Jared Kushner; Sarah Huckabee Sanders; Devin Nunes; Jason Chaffitz; Trey Gowdy; Susan Collins; Lisa Murkowski; Ryan Zinke; Tom Cotton; Joni Ernst; Chuck Grassley; Orin Hatch; Ron Johnson; Rob Portman; John Roberts; Clarence Thomas; Samuel Alito; Neil Gorsuch; Kellyanne Conway; and soon Brett Kavanaugh. I’m sure that I’m missing many; primarily because there are 248 Republicans in the House, and I know that this is a divided political environment. In general, the House is dominated by right wing extremists who have destroyed its function.

The average age of those on my ‘list’ is over 60 years of age, and the majority are white males. (Except for the color of their skin, Clarence Thomas and Ben Carson are whiter than most). The average age of all Americans is 37.8 years of age. The dominate demographics are women who compose 50.9 percent of the population, and millennials who have replaced baby-boomers as our largest single voting bloc.

Our government is not representative of a young, more diverse America. Time for change; change which reflects the America of 2018.

The men and women I listed above are the past. If we allow them to continue to make decisions for the American people of the 21^st century our nation will permanently fall behind the rest of the developed world.

I didn’t list Democrats. It’s not because I believe that all of them are not guilty of my criticism. The truth is that any of them who are over the age of 60 must retire or be defeated in the primaries. The old, white, men and women in both parties are out of touch with the real America. Aggressive liberals, or if you choose, ‘progressives,’ will save the nation of our founding fathers.

For those of you who do not read my rants on a regular basis, I am a white, 72-year-old man who loves his country and is concerned about its future. Trump is only three weeks older than I am, but his beliefs are antiquated and dangerous to our nation’s future. Those in Washington who support him must be voted out of office. This election must reveal that the voting public will not accept any candidate who has an “R” next to his or her name; they have chosen to become the enemy of the American people.

Please vote on November 6^th and vote intelligently. We cannot afford to have any more “Trump’s” destroying our nation’s future.
