“But maybe Nixon was wrongly decided — heresy though it is to say so. Nixon took away the power of the president to control information in the executive branch by holding that the courts had power and jurisdiction to order the president to disclose information in response to a subpoena sought by a subordinate executive branch official. That was a huge step with implications to this day that most people do not appreciate sufficiently…Maybe the tension of the time led to an erroneous decision,” Kavanaugh said in a transcript of the discussion that was published in the January-February 1999 issue of the Washington Lawyer.
If it would have been Kavanaugh’s decision, we would have had a criminal as our nation’s president for three more years. We have an illegitimate president who is a criminal and a traitor to the American people. When he is charged with multiple crimes, will Kavanaugh be the deciding vote to save his humongous derriere? Will Trump ever face charges for 20 allegations of sexual assault?
Kavanaugh stated that his personal belief is that a sitting president cannot be investigated or prosecuted. In other words, a man who is nothing more than a public servant must be treated as a monarch? Where are our founding fathers whose two primary goals were freedom of religion, and preventing a “king” to rule over the American people?
The purpose of the Supreme Court is to protect the Constitution; Kavanaugh would consider his personal beliefs over the law of the land.
Kavanaugh fits well with Trump’s administration. Democracy and “preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution is not on their list of priorities.
Once again, my fellow Americans; it’s time for a revolution which will return our nation to the people and force our elected officials to place the welfare of the American people in priority number one. This is my America; not theirs.
Please tell others about my blog; the truth lives here.
