Trump attempted to backtrack on the fact that his loyalty is to Vladimir Putin. In Helsinki he confirmed that his remarks about the Russian dictator during the campaign were a precursor to his admission of fidelity to his handler.
Many members of the Trump Party are gambling on the support of Trump’s supporters for their reelection bids. They would support him if he wore a Nazi uniform and declared white supremacy the goal of our nation’s government. However, Independents, Democrats, and less extreme right-wing politicians and voters are refusing to come to the defense of his private meeting in Helsinki, and are even more concerned about his personal invitation for Putin to visit the White House this fall.
Trey Gowdy, Republican Representative from South Carolina, and the man who wasted millions of dollars conducting eight investigations into the tragedy in Benghazi, with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit Hillary Clinton, has become one of Trump’s doubters.
“The fact that we have to talk to you about Syria or other matters is very different from issuing an invitation,” Gowdy said on “Fox News Sunday” of the Putin invitation, which the White House confirmed last week would be extended for the fall. “Those should be reserved for, I think, our allies.”
While speaking on FOX Noise Sunday, he suggested that some members of Trump’s staff should resign if Trump continued to ignore their advice. I have no doubt that included in his suggestion were Secretary of Defense, Jim Mattis; Chief of Staff, John Kelly; and Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo.
“It can be proven beyond any evidentiary burden that Russia is not our friend and they tried to attack us in 2016,” Gowdy told host Bret Baier. “So the president either needs to rely on the people that he has chosen to advise him, or those advisers need to reevaluate whether or not they can serve in this administration. But the disconnect cannot continue.”
I despise Gowdy, but when he is right, I must support him. My blog is devoted to the truth and nothing less.
Trump has proven that not only did he collude with Vladimir Putin to win the election in 2016, he is a traitor to the American people. Life imprisonment would be too kind for the most-hated man in the world.
Please tell others about my blog; the truth lives here.
