Every area of America’s production will be affected by Trump’s Folly. Tariffs cause trade wars, and one nation cannot win a war against the many.
Farmers are especially worried. Family farms are fearful that tariffs placed in retaliation to an action taken against the advice of every respected economist in the nation. But, “Trump knows everything.”
Today, Trump released a plan to aid farmers harmed by his tariff with a ‘bailout’ of $12 billion. Taxpayer money would not be needed if there had been no Trump Folly. Where are the “conservatives” in Congress? Hypocrites one and all.
At the moment there are 1.1 billion tons of red meat and poultry in storage facilities waiting to be shipped to foreign nations. Producers are waiting to see if the nations who purchase their meat will impose tariffs intended to counteract Trump’s trade war.
Automobile manufacturers have announced that they will decrease production. Producers of steel and aluminum are fearful that foreign buyers will either place tariffs on their products or seek trade agreements with other nations who produce the same product. Harley Davison and Snap-on have already made a decision to produce more of their products in foreign nations.
To those affected, I will only say; “you elected him and you will pay for him.” You should have known that he was a failed businessman who would cause great harm to a recovering economy. All Republicans fail at fiscal policy, but Trump will hold the record.
