Only Cowardly Republicans Can End Trump’s Monarchy

Donald Trump has many problems; and they’re all his own. Although I am not a licensed psychiatrist, there is no doubt that a childhood without love after he was sent to a military boarding school; a father whose only goal was increasing his wealth; a life as a spoiled child which replaced warmth and understanding; and his acceptance by his peers as a bully have resulted in constant feelings of being unworthy, and an enormous ego which covers up his deep insecurities and fear of abandonment.

No administration in history has had a turnover of staff at more than a rate of 50 percent. The truth is that Trump does not need a cabinet or an advisory staff. He knows everything, and refuses to consult his staff, although their experience and knowledge dwarf Trump’s knowledge and ability to lead a business or a nation.

He has ignored his Chief of Staff, John Kelly; completely dismissed his Secretary of Defense, Jim Mattis; and most recently excluded his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, form international relations.

Trump believes that he is the “King of the United States,” and not just another elected public servant.

On Thursday Trump tweeted that he would “impose large sanctions on Turkey” over the detention of American pastor Andrew Brunson, who has been imprisoned in the country over charges of espionage and terrorism. Pompeo has been negotiating with the Turkish government for Brunson’s release. He was not informed about Trump’s threats against Turkey.

A little history. In 2013 protests began in Taksim Square in Istanbul, Turkey. They began because the government made the decision to tear down Gezi Park, the last area of green in the city. But the protests were more involved than just one park. Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan had begun to institute sharia law in the Democratic country. He banned alcohol, displays of public affection, women wearing “western-style clothing, and other actions he deemed ‘sinful.’

In 2015 Erdogan won reelection although the results have been questioned by his opposition. When an attempted coup occurred while Erdogan was out of the country, he squashed the rebellion and began placing his enemies in the nations jails and prisons without trial or proof that they were members of the rebellion. The government began building more prisons.

Today Turkey remains a member of NATO, but is considered a dictatorship; democracy is nothing more than a memory for the people of the most diverse nation in the world outside of the United States.

Trump has often praised Erdogan, and at his personal invitation entertained the dictator on May 17, 2017. My question is; “is this another show?” Trump talks big, but bows to other dictators including Erdogan, Putin, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

Trump can not be allowed to rule over the American people any longer. If the cowards in the Trump Party refuse to serve the people, they and their illegitimate president must be removed from Washington. The revolution begins on November 6th. This second American Revolution has become necessary thanks to millions of ignorant and racist voters who chose Trump over America and the Constitution.
