Donald Trump is the most expensive president in modern history. His policies have cost taxpayers trillions of dollars, and his personal spending exceeds what should be tolerable from his own party.
When a real president, Barrack Obama, spent billions of dollars to undo the fiscal irresponsibility of George W. Bush, “conservatives” on the right screamed at the top of their lungs. Trump is wasting trillions of dollars for his personal gain and there is no response from right-wing extremists. Can you say “hypocrisy?”
Trump is many things; none of them positive for the American people. He is lazy, unfit, mentally insufficient, and philosophically the leader of the white nationalist movement in America. He is using the national treasury in the same manner he used his “foundation;” his personal bank account.
Eliot A. Cohen, a long time conservative and a professor at Johns Hopkins University explained the difference between past conservatives and today’s extremist imposters in the Atlantic.
“Real conservatives have always prided themselves on their willingness to stand up to their own kind in the name of moral principle. Think of Senator Robert Taft opposing the North Atlantic Treaty, knowing that those positions could destroy his political career. Taft was wrong in his views, but he was principled, he was courageous, and he went down speaking truth as he saw it. William F. Buckley took on the John Birch Society in the middle of the 20th century, and the anti-Semites in the conservative camp later on. In 1993, when Buckley had to choose between loyalty to Joseph Sobran, his long-time protégé and colleague at the National Review, and rejection of bigotry, principle won and he fired his friend.”
Principles are not to be found in today’s Republican Party in name only. They are owned by special interests and must not be allowed to claim that they are members of the once Grand Old Party. Trump, McConnell, Ryan, Cornyn, Grassley, King, Kennedy, and others have absolutely no resemblance to past great Republicans whose only goal was to serve the American people.
If America is to survive, we need enormous change in Washington. The dominance of old, white men must come to an immediate end. They have failed to serve the majority for three decades, and fail to represent today’s diversity in America.
Please vote and remove all failed Republicans from office in November.
