It’s time for the politicians in Washington to grow-up and face the fact that Brett Kavanaugh is unfit to receive a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. Not only have three women accused him of sexual assault, his temperament makes him unacceptable to become a Justice on the highest Court in the land.

Lindsey Graham’s embarrassing tantrum is typical of the failures which occur every day in congress. Partisan politics has destroyed our democratic republic. Deliberation and compromise are no longer possible between these childish old men and women.

I am doubtful that Kavanaugh has the intellect or the courage to remove his name from contention for the Court. On Thursday he displayed a lack of self-control and intelligent thought. However, for the good of our country he should do the right thing.

Republicans continue to blame the women involved in this situation. Women lie; men are to be accepted by their own word. Period.

The state of sexism in America is deplorable. This must change. The lack of respect from the right-wing for women is unacceptable. These old, white men continue to live in the 1950’s when women were expected to be subservient to men. Republicans, with their 72-year-old illegitimate president leading them, are attempting to move our nation into its dark past, not into a future filled with hope and a better life for all Americans. The party of special interests has failed the majority for 30 years.
