Brett Kavanaugh, a liar and a sexual predator, will now be a member of the highest court in the land for life. This is not only a disgrace, it is a sham.

He was not approved by the senate, he was approved by Trump’s stooges. He was not approved by the American people, only 34 percent favored his confirmation. He lied during the hearings, and this one fact alone makes him unfit to sit on the SCOTUS.

Kavanaugh received his seat by a vote of 50-48. This is the smallest victory in modern history. Only one other Republican nominee received such a small margin of confirmation. In 1991, Clarence Thomas, another nominee accused of sexual harassment and assault, received a vote of 52-48.

The only reason Trump ordered his tools in the senate to vote for Kavanaugh is that if Trump is charged with crimes by Mueller and others, Kavanaugh would protect him if the cases were heard by the Court.

Kavanaugh will not protect the Constitution. He will protect right-wing interests and ignore the words and instructions of our founding fathers.

Today, October 6, 2018, the American people lost another battle to the party of fascism. But we can win the war.

On November 6, 2018 we can use our weapons and defeat every Republican up for reelection. The party of sexists, racists, and the past must not maintain power in Washington.

America is the most backwards nation in the developed world. While most nations are moving forward and insuring the rights of minorities, the LGBTQ community, members of all religions, and equality for women by guaranteeing healthcare and education for everyone, prejudice and bigotry control our nation’s future thanks to one party of extremists.

It’s your country and your choice. Vote or accept Donald Trump’s America; it won’t be yours.
