Susan Collins should be ashamed of herself; but I am likely more ashamed for her than she would be for herself if she had any compassion on concern for women in America. Instead, she is an old fool who has joined the old, white men in her party by supporting every man who is accused of sexual assault. In a 40-minute speech she called Professor Christine Blasey Ford a liar and discounted her detailed and disgusting story about being assaulted by another poor choice by Donald Trump to have a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court.
Once again Republicans are ignoring most Americans. Only 34 percent approve of placing Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. They continue to rule over us and ignore our needs and wishes. Because they refuse to serve us they do not deserve our votes.
In November we have an opportunity to show Republicans that we are serious. All Representatives are facing reelection, and we can vote them out of office. Only eight Republicans are facing reelection in the senate. Here in Nevada we can let Dean Heller know that his devotion to Donald Trump makes him unacceptable to the good people of Nevada. In Texas, Ted Cruz must be defeated. Beto O’Rourke will work for the people of Texas. Unlike Ted Cruz he will not spend all his time campaigning for the presidency.
With these two hypocrites losing their reelection bids, Democrats and Independents have a greater chance of regaining control of the senate and destroying the power of America’s second biggest traitor, Mitch McConnell.
