Trump has failed to keep a single campaign promise. One of his first remains at the forefront of his hate speech; his unnecessary and excessively expensive wall; which Mexico will never pay for.

In the last couple of days Trump has threatened a government shutdown if funding for his ludicrous wall is not approved by the current Republican-controlled congress. Will his bullying work? Today, they left Washington for six days.

Trump is attempting to cover-up yet another failure. The following is a tweet he posted about the situation; I’ll discuss the lies after I re-post his tweet.

“I often stated, “One way or the other, Mexico is going to pay for the Wall.” This has never changed. Our new deal with Mexico (and Canada), the USMCA, is so much better than the old, very costly & anti-USA NAFTA deal, that just by the money we save, MEXICO IS PAYING FOR THE WALL!”

Lie number one; his “new” agreement is similar to NAFTA. The only thing he accomplished was a name change designed to remove President Obama’s signature from the agreement.

Lie number two; Mexico is not paying for the wall, regardless of how he spins the facts.

Let’s take an honest look at the idea of a border wall. There are many areas where a wall cannot be constructed. More importantly, this is not the 16^th century. Building a wall or a moat to keep out the “enemy” is ridiculous. Trump may live in the past, but most of us are aware that this is the 21^st century. Trump’s wasteful spending makes any type of ‘wall’ an impossibility. The billions of dollars needed is simply not available.

Trump has refused to address America’s most pressing problems. Instead he has wasted time and money attempting to appease the members of his cult, golfing, partying in Mar-a-Lago, holding hate rallies, and watching cable television.

President “Worthless” is desperate to save his reputation and protect his ego; there is nothing that building a wall will do to accomplish his personal goals.
