On October 3, 2018, the Dow Jones closed at 26,828.39. Today, December 17, 2018, it closed at 23,592.78. That’s a drop of 3,235.61 points.

During President Obama’s administration the market topped 20,000 for the first time in history and continued to rise during Trump’s first 20 months in office.

In fall of 2016, two years ago, I predicted a stock market crash if Trump became the president. His lack of qualification, his many failures in business, and his refusal to take the advice of anyone else made this easy to foresee. Now, with his policy of trickle-down economics and the serious mistake of implementing tariffs on imports from Europe, Canada, Mexico, and China the unforgivable is coming true.

No man or woman should be elected President of the United States unless they have experience in state or federal government. On November 8, 2016 the American people were faced with a decision between two very different candidates; Trump and Hillary Clinton. Trump had no experience at any level of government and had never accomplished anything without outside assistance; a $400 million inheritance from his farther, investments from the Saudi Royal Family in 1995, and investments from Russian oligarchs in 2005. Clinton was the most qualified candidate in history. Informed voters cast their ballots for Clinton and she crushed Trump in the popular vote. Uninformed voters, with the aid of Vladimir Putin, television “news,” and James Comey, voted for Trump; he was gifted the Electoral College.

Here’s where we are today. The stock market is crashing, America is no longer the leader of the free world, the national debt is growing, the trade deficit is at an all-time high, and attacks by white, domestic terrorists are making our nation less safe.

Trump is moving our nation in a backwards direction and his cowardly and hypocritical party is supporting him. November 3, 2020 is the day we can take our nation back; it belongs to us, not them.
