Michelle Obama originated the phrase: “When they go low, we go high.” The current White House must use their own: “When they tell the truth, we tell bigger lies.”
As of today, December 18, 2018, the number of investigations into Trump’s past and present life have risen to 17. No president in history has experienced a number near this figure.
Of course, Trump is whining and attempting to misdirect the facts by constantly calling the legitimate press “fake news,” while supporting the right-wing propaganda machine, FOX Noise.
His paid liars are out in full force denying the truth.
James Comey spent five hours Monday in front of House Republicans who interrogated him endlessly about Hillary Clinton’s e-mails; yes, again, and again, and again. After the ordeal he spoke to the press.
“So, another day of Hillary Clinton’s emails and the Steele dossier. This while the president of the United States is lying about the FBI, attacking the FBI, and attacking the rule of law in this country. How does that make any sense at all?
“Republicans used to understand that the actions of a president matter. The words of a president matter. The rule of law matters. And the truth matters. Where are those “Republicans today? At some point, someone has to stand up, and in the face of fear of Fox News, fear of their base, fear of mean tweets, stand up for the values of this country and not slink away into retirement, but stand up and speak the truth.
“I find it frustrating to be here answering questions about things that are far less important than the values this country is built upon.”
It’s important to note that Comey is a lifelong Republican.
This was too much for Trump’s primary prevaricator, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who surrendered her principles, her morals, and her dignity long ago.
“Republicans should stand up to Comey and his tremendous corruption – from the fake Hillary Clinton investigation, to lying and leaking, to FISA abuse, and a list too long to name. The President did the country a service by firing him and exposing him for the shameless fraud he is.”
If this shameless woman is not embarrassed for her constant and endless falsehoods, she should be. The first line of her fallacious tweet should have been: “Republicans should stand up to Trump and his tremendous corruption.”
It is obvious that all Republicans chose to be castrated on January 20, 2017. Sad.
