Did Tucker Carlson Really Tell the Truth?

Carlson (2)

For years I have offered evidence that capitalism has failed the majority of Americans. The result is the widening gap in income inequality, rising costs for education and healthcare, and only one-percent of all Americans experiencing the privilege of living in the richest country in the world.

Approximately 46 million Americans live below the poverty line. Another 100 million are considered ‘low-income.’ What this means is that one-half of all Americans struggle to survive in the richest country in the world. This is the evil of capitalism.

I am proud to be a liberal. I believe in people before profit. All Americans should have the right to free healthcare and free education. No American should be homeless or be forced to depend on the government or other Americans for survival. Working men and women should share the benefits when their labor is the reason corporations make 300, 400, and 500 percent profit. Instead of giving bonuses to board members, the men and women who were responsible for their company’s success should receive pay increases and additional benefits.

When a FOX Noise personality agrees with me, I thought hell had frozen over. A guessing game; who said the following?

“He denounced market capitalism, Wall Street exploitation, private equity, payday loan outlets and America’s ruling class. In a follow-up interview, he even said he would consider voting for Elizabeth Warren.”

The answer; Tucker Carlson.

Since that statement he has been attacked by politicians from the right and the left. These millionaires are afraid of change, and afraid of not making that next million. To Carlson’s credit he has not backed down.

In a rousing conclusion, Carlson noted that Americans want to live in a country “whose leaders don’t accelerate the forces of change purely for their own profit and amusement” and at the expense of the family; the foundation of a healthy society.

There is hope for America. When I heard these sentiments from the new leader of the Democratic Party, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, I was not surprised. But hearing them on FOX is extraordinary.

Democratic socialism is not communism. It is only a slight change which would remove much of the government’s responsibility to assist Americans in need, and place it where it belongs, on the businesses who thrive thanks to our nation’s favorable laws; they must share some of their wealth.

I write so many negative-sounding stories it is a joy that I am able to write this one. Change is coming and younger voters and women are leading the way.
