As I Predicted Super Bowl LIII was a Victory for the New England Patriots

Brees

Two weeks ago I guaranteed a Super Bowl win for the New England Patriots. It was not based on one team’s superiority over another but was on the fact that professional football is fixed. The outcome of the biggest games in sports history are decided by league officials. (Did you watch the NFC championship game?)

Although tonight’s win by New England was not entirely the result of officiating which offered them an advantage in the game, penalties against the Los Angeles Rams were intended to give the Patriot’s an advantage.

The result proved that the efforts by Roger Goodell and his minions were unnecessary. The Rams were unprepared to play in the biggest game in professional sport. Super Bowl LIII proved to be the worst championship game in history. Tom Brady and Jeff Goff offered their worst performances in the 2018/2019 season. The game can only be described as the most boring sports event in the 2018 season. I literally fell asleep before the end of the first half, and I have watched all 53 Super Bowls, or at least parts of them.

This game is likely the end of professional football. Its popularity will decline in the same manner which ended the dominance of professional baseball.

When my wife and I moved into our home in 1999 my bride gave me an incredible gift. She paid for the equipment and subscription to DirecTv which allowed me to watch every game played by my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. A few days ago I cancelled not only the “NFL Sunday Ticket,” but our subscription to DirecTv. I am no longer interested in a league without principles.

Brady looked like a 40-year-old quarterback. Jeff Goff looked like a 14-year-old quarterback. This game will be remembered as the most boring football game in history. It should have been a contest between the New Orleans Saints, although the officials gave it to the Rams, and the Kansas City Chiefs. In the latter championship game, the Patriots offensive line was not called for multiple holding violations, and Brady was standing tall the entire game.

Years ago I stopped watching professional baseball and basketball. Baseball’s free agency policy eliminated the “team” concept. I was 13 years old when the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles and I was literally in heaven. Today’s teams are a mixture of individuals who wear a different uniform each year.

When the NBA became a game of “slam-dunks” and passing the ball a rarity, I became bored. What is impressive about a seven-foot man who can dunk the basketball?

Now it’s football that has disappointed me thanks to Roger Goodell and the worst officials in all of sport.

Please tell your friends about my blog; thank you.
