It was called “zero tolerance.” Not only did Trump detain thousands of families seeking asylum in the United States he ordered the separation of children and parents. This was a plan to discourage future asylum seekers. We are now aware that this situation happened to thousands more men, women, and children than first claimed by Trump’s personal gestapo, ICE.

Although a court order is in place which mandated reuniting these families, the Trump administration has not fully complied.

During a court appearance to defend the government from charges presented by the ACLU, the Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) made unacceptable and immoral claims that reuniting children with their parents would be “too much work,” and after this lengthy period of separation returning them to their parents would be too “traumatic.”

I’m going to put this as bluntly as possible. Any person who calls themselves an American and votes for Trump in 2020 lacks all humanity and compassion. This was Trump’s choice and his alone. He is not fit to be included in the classification ‘humanity,’ and is certainly unfit to be our nation’s president.

Every decision made by your illegitimate president has been rash and harmful. A sign of intelligence is displayed by men and women who seek factual evidence for future actions, including advice from those with more experience in the matter. This is not Donald Trump.

Let’s all return intelligence, morality, and respect to America. Rid our nation of the people’s enemy; the Republican Party.
