Republicans Continue their Desperate Efforts to Harm AOC; they’re Discovering the Strength and Courage of the Representative from New York

It is a fact that the right-wing fears Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez more than any other Democratic politician. She speaks for the majority and is the leader of the largest voting bloc in America, millennials.

The one thing that proves my claim is the fact that every right-wing politician and its propaganda machine, Fox Noise, looks for new ways to attack AOC, as she is known today.

Appearing at an Al Sharpton event, attended primarily by African-Americans, she was criticized by the right-wing Washington Examiner for using what they called a ‘southern drawl.’

“I’m proud to be a bartender, ain’t nothing wrong with that,” she told the crowd at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Convention in New York. “There’s nothing wrong with working retail, folding clothes for other people to buy. There is nothing wrong with preparing the food that your neighbors will eat. There is nothing wrong with driving the buses that take your family to work. There is nothing wrong with being a working person in the United States of America, and there is everything dignified about it.”

The right-wing has criticized her for everything except breathing. They oppose her ideas, the fact that she supports the majority, and criticize everything about her including the way she dresses, and the way she danced in college. Pitiful.

Here’s what the new leader of a more liberal Democratic Party had to say.

“Folks talking about my voice can step right off,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Twitter Friday night.

She added, “Any kid who grew up in a distinct linguistic culture & had to learn to navigate class enviros at school/work knows what’s up. My Spanish is the same way.”

“As much as the right wants to distort & deflect, I am from the Bronx. I act & talk like it, *especially* when I’m fired up and especially when I’m home,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a separate tweet. “It is so hurtful to see how every aspect of my life is weaponized against me, yet somehow asserted as false at the same time.”

What I read is that she is a member of the House who is working for all of the people, and not just special interests. She cares about her country, and that means the American people, not the oil and gas industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the Pentagon, the NRA gun lobby, and other groups supported by right-wing politicians.

If she were 35-years-old, I would support AOC for the Democratic nomination in 2020. She is the most ‘American’ member of congress I have listened to since President Obama.
