The Major Difference Between Democratic Candidates Today and the “Clown Car” in 2017

2016 GOP

A moronic mainstream media is obsessed with the large number of Democrats who declared their candidacy for the 2020 election. How short their memories are.

In 2016 the number of Republican presidential hopefuls was 17. They number was so large Fox Noise was desperate to make the debate stage look less like an old, white gang, and limited the number on state to 10.

I called them a clown car, and soon Trump was the driver and the others were passengers hoping for a ride.

As of this weekend there are 17 declared Democrats. However, there is a major difference between 2016’s clown car and this group of men and women.

In 2016 there were only two qualified candidates out of 17 wannabees; Jeb Bush and John Kasich; neither of them played Trump’s game and were soon far behind in the polls. The Republican “debates” were far from any actual discussion of the issues. From the first to the last they were nothing more than a series of personal attacks, led by the least qualified candidate of all, Donald Trump.

Trump even attacked one of the moderators in the first debate by making fun of the fact that Megyn Kelly was a woman. He wasted no time proving that he was a sexist.

None of these embarrassing events made an impression on ignorant Republican voters. Disgusted with poor choices, the primaries were dominated by a failed businessman, and in July of 2016 he was given the Republican nomination. One of the darkest days in the history of the GOP.

There is no doubt that the Democratic debates in 2020 will be substantive and informing. We won’t be forced to endure a drunken Rick Perry, a ‘half-awake’ Ben Carson, unlikable Ted Cruz, poorly prepared Marco Rubio, or an immoral and bigoted Donald Trump.

From the progressive proposals of Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders, to the experienced and intelligent ideas of Elizabeth Warren, voters will have an opportunity to decide which candidate is most closely aligned with their needs and wishes.

Finally, the real contest in 2020 will be for the Democratic nomination. All 17 presidential hopefuls offered by Democrats are far more qualified than the buffoon now defiling the White House. Whoops, it’s the weekend and Trump is not in the White House, he is wasting millions of dollars partying in Mar-a-Lago.
