Trump is at it again. He is determined to destroy America’s small and medium sized businesses. He has decided to levy $11 billion more in tariffs on imports of European goods.
The battle is over what Trump is calling “illegal subsidies” for “Airbus.” However, the World Trade Organization determined that the United States gave illegal subsidies to Boeing.
Some analysts have accused the U.S. of double standards. GAM’s Investment Director for Global Equities, Ali Miremadi, said the U.S.’ tariff proposal was “quite bold.”
“I have to say the country which is the home to Boeing accusing Europe of state subsidies for Airbus — this is quite bold,” he told CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” Tuesday.
“It’s very well established that both Boeing and Airbus exist only at the discretion of their respective hosts or host governments.”
Here’s the only fact which is important today. This is the 21st century. Europe and Asia are no longer dependent on the United States for trade. Our government allowed hundreds of large businesses to move their factories away from our nation’s shores years ago. Almost nothing is assembled or manufactured in America today.
Trump is a failure in business, as our illegitimate president, and as a human being. He fails to understand how trade agreements work in 2019. America is no longer the leader of the free world in any situation. Trump removed us from that position during his first few months in office when he refused to sign the Paris Accord. This agreement is nothing more than a promise to reduce America’s growing carbon footprint on the environment. Trump told the G7 f**k you, and displayed his support for the oil and gas industry.
Tariffs are a policies which failed in the mid-20th century. Trump is an illegitimate president who failed our nation in the first quarter of the 21st century.
