It is a fact that Republican politicians are unable to govern the United State and its 320 million people. The last four GOP presidents prove my claim.
In Reagan’s second term he escalated his war on the working class; he nearly placed our nation into a recession; and increased unemployment. His policy of “trickle-down economics” failed as it always does. When he left office in 1989, our nation was one-trillion dollars in debt and unemployment was at 12 percent.
George H.W. Bush attempted to continue Reagan’s economic policies but was eventually forced to increase taxes for the wealthy. When he left office in 1993, nothing had changed from the Reagan administration.
After eight years of repairing the damage from 12 years of failed Republican “leadership,” Bill Clinton left office in 2001 with our nation experiencing a fiscal surplus, and another Republican moved into the White House.
Through eight years in office George W. Bush left our nation engaged in two unwinnable wars, and an economy nearing a depression, with high unemployment, and a national debt in the trillions. He lied to the American people about “weapons of mass destruction” and invaded Iraq in 2003. This was after he invaded Afghanistan in 2002 with the stated purpose of capturing or killing Osama bin Laden. He did not accomplish his goal, and American soldiers remain in Afghanistan nearly 18 years later. His policy of “trickle-down economics” made the rich, richer, as millions of working class Americans lost their homes.
Now we’re stuck with Trump who has already added one-trillion dollars to our national debt; divided our nation; and destroyed the respect we experienced from nations around the world.
Recently there has been a great amount of unfair criticism aimed at Representative Ilhan Omar. To be completely honest most of it is the result of the fact that she is one of two members of the House who were the first Muslims elected to our nation’s federal government.
When she denounced Benjamin Netanyahu and his government for their oppression of Palestinians, Fox Noise and Republican politicians falsely called her an “anti-Semite.”
She has now rightfully called the man Trump has placed in control of immigration policy, Stephen Miller, a “white supremacist.” In my estimation she could have used other words including fascist, racist, or simply a**hole.
The right wing is good at spinning the truth and twisting words, and nothing else. Miller claims to be a Jew. I sincerely doubt that he has seen the inside of a synagogue for decades. My Jewish friends would not hate minorities solely based on the color of their skin. However, Fox Noise and GOP politicians are once again calling her an anti-Semite.
It is a fact that the right-wing’s constant attacks against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar are expressions of fear. They are representative of a new America.
I suggest that we all get behind them or get out of the way; change is inevitable. Millennials are the largest voting bloc in America.
