White nationalist groups have come to the forefront of America’s discussion about racism and bigotry once again, Trump and his hypocritical party refuse to reject these hate groups.
The truth is that Trump surrounded himself with white nationalists in August of 2016 or before and continued that process after his election.
Billionaire Robert Mercer brought his money, Steve Bannon, and Kellyanne Conway to save Trump’s failing campaign. Mercer is not only a white nationalist; he donated a large portion of the funding for Breitbart; one of the most extreme right-wing propaganda machines in the nation. Bannon was the former director of Breitbart, and a self-proclaimed and proud white nationalist. Conway will do and say anything if ‘the price is right.’
The House is conducting an investigative discussion about the rise of white nationalism and hate crimes. FBI Director Christopher Wray has voiced his concern about these growing problems repeatedly.
Republicans on the Judiciary Committee are attempting to deny the truth. One look at Trump’s supporters during a single hate rally validates Mr. Wray’s concerns.
Fact: Four of the most egregious mass shootings in America were committed after Trump’s tiny inauguration. Only the slaughter of 20 small children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, was more heinous.
All four of these travesties were committed by single, white men armed with military assault rifles, and all were hate crimes.
58 men and women lost their lives in Las Vegas in October of 2017. In Sutherland Springs, Texas, 26 worshippers; men, women, and children; were murdered in a small church while in prayer in November of 2017. On Valentine’s Day, 2018, 17 students and educators lost their lives at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In October of 2018, 11 men and women were murdered while attending services in a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Trump and his useless party offered “their thoughts and prayers” on each occasion and did nothing else. They are spineless and value the NRA’s money more than American lives.
One final fact. Hate crimes in America have increased by 800 percent since Trump’s nomination in July of 2016. With him Trump brought our nation’s darkest and most evil groups. They came out of the shadows, crawled from under rocks, and slithered out of the slime in ponds and wetlands; they finally had a leader living in the White House.
Republicans are attempting to make these hearings a farce.
