Republicans Complain about Trump but in True Hypocritical Style Continue to Support Him

The ‘word’ is many Republicans complain about Trump privately. In public they support the worst man in the world. One thing they all agree with is the hate Trump’s rash and unilateral decisions, often placing them in a perilous position.

John Cornyn, the old white man from Texas, has been in the Senate for 17 long years. He has failed his state and his country. Cornyn told reporters he wishes there was “more communication and collaboration,” saying that “This is a nontraditional presidency, and the president now figures he doesn’t need a lot of advisers because he wants to do it himself. But there’s a lot of informal mechanisms and avenues for sharing information that are not really working very well now.” Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and toadying sycophant Lindsey Graham agreed with that.

”There are two things the administration ought to consider before nominating someone. First, obviously, background check. And second, likelihood of confirmation,” McConnell said. “Generally better to check that out in advance before you send a nomination up.” We’re talking about an administration that hasn’t seen the background check as an obvious step, though, and given how few of Trump’s outrageous nominations Senate Republicans have actually turned back, why wouldn’t he just keep tossing them out and seeing who gets through?

Whine all you want, McConnell, it was your fault our nation has the worst and most destructive administration in history. You obeyed your fuhrer and pushed candidates through the nomination process knowing they were unfit and a danger to our nation’s future.

Just a few examples. Jeff Sessions is a well-known racist, and the Republican dominated senate confirmed him as the Attorney General. Rex Tillerson had no experience in government but was confirmed to one of the cabinet’s most important positions, Secretary of State. Scott Pruitt sued the EPA frequently as the attorney general of Oklahoma, so it was no surprise when he was confirmed as the head of the agency he wanted to destroy. Betsy DeVos is a billionaire donor to Republican candidates, including Trump. She never walked into a public school in her life until she became the Secretary of Education. Another terrible choice by Trump and another cowardly confirmation by Republicans. Ben Carson is a multi-millionaire. Why not make him the head or Housing and Urban Development? He might be extremely wealthy but his skin is dark brown and must know something about the poor and their struggle to survive. And of course there’s William Barr. His only qualification is that he is a Trump toady. McConnell rushed through his confirmation so he would be the only one receiving the Mueller report.

Not only are senate Republicans losers, they are the ultimate hypocrites and therefore traitors to the American people. Let’s retire them all on November 3, 2020. We deserve better. We can end Trump’s reign of terror and tyranny.
