“As the chief officer of the Department of Justice, the attorney general enforces federal laws, provides legal counsel in federal cases, interprets the laws that govern executive departments, heads federal jails and penal institutions, and examines alleged violations of federal laws.”
William Barr is doing none of this; he is violating his oath of office and twisting the laws he is obligated to protect. He is a Trump lackey and a disgrace to his office. Barr can be fired by the President, but he can also be impeached.
“There is no designated term for the attorney general, rather the president can remove him or her from the office at any time. Additionally, the attorney general can be impeached and tried by Congress if deemed necessary.” It is necessary.
We cannot continue to allow Trump and his circle of sinners to laugh at the Constitution and every other federal and state law in the land. So far Trump has violated or attempted to violate the Constitution more than one-dozen times. He is currently violating the Emoluments clause by using his presidency to advance his foreign business interest. He has lied to the American people thousands and thousands of times. He has continued to take actions in the interest of Vladimir Putin, and against the welfare of our nation and our people. But there was no collusion!???
Trump is immoral, unfit, and unwilling to be our president. He is a common criminal, a self-admitted sexual predator, and must be removed from the White House; hopefully in handcuffs.
Possibly the worst of Barr’s unethical actions has to do with Obamacare. Obamacare is a law, and yet Barr says that he will challenge it in the courts. This is not a part of his job description, as one of Reagan’s former attorneys generals states.
William French Smith, wrote in 1981, the DOJ has “a duty to defend the constitutionality of an Act of Congress whenever a reasonable argument can be made in its support.”
Jimmy Carter’s attorney general wrote: While the courts are charged with protecting “both the government and the citizenry from unconstitutional action, legislative and Executive [ … ] only the Executive Branch can execute the statutes of the United States,” including by defending them in the courts. Therefore, “if executive officers were to adopt a policy of ignoring or attacking acts of Congress whenever they believed them to be in conflict with the provisions of the constitution, their conduct in office could jeopardize the equilibrium established within our constitutional system.”
As Trump’s “basket of deplorables” frequently cheered; “lock him up, lock him up.”
Tell your friends; “The Truth Lives Here.”
