Trump continues to Pay Back the Saudi Royal Family for Bailing him out in 1995

Today Trump vetoed a bipartisan resolution which would have removed aid for Saudi Arabia in its attempt to destroy Yemen. It would also have removed all U.S. military from the area. During his visit in 2017 he offered military armament to the Royal Family dedicated specifically to the Saudi war against neighboring Yemen, which would virtually eliminate the Yemeni general population. Trump’s hypocritical party supported their fuhrer until it was confirmed that Saudi Royal Prince Mohmmad bin Salman ordered the torture and dismemberment of Jamal Khashoggi, a journalist for the Washington Post, and a Saudi dissident. By vetoing the resolution, Trump broke another campaign promise to end America’s endless obsession with war.

“From a president elected on the promise of putting a stop to our endless wars, this veto is a painful missed opportunity,” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), the resolution’s chief House sponsor, said in a statement Tuesday.

Trump made a feeble attempt to justify his unilateral decision.

“This resolution is an unnecessary, dangerous attempt to weaken my constitutional authorities, endangering the lives of American citizens and brave service members, both today and in the future,” Trump said in his statement Tuesday.

The White House had threatened to veto each iteration of the resolution, arguing it raised “serious constitutional concerns” and was based on an “erroneous premise.”

American lawmakers have sought to end the Saudi invasion for years citing the deaths of thousands of innocent Yemeni civilians.

Of course, we know Trump is lying. He is protecting his benefactors. When Trump had lost more than 400 million dollars he received from his father, in 1995 the Royal Family bailed him out by investing in his New York properties. This is why Trump claimed that the proven cause of Khashoggi’s death was false, and why he continues to support the immoral invasion of Yemen. Collusion and obstruction of the facts continue to follow Trump throughout his pitiful existence.

Congress believes that despite another Trump veto, their action sends a clear message to the Saudis that America is opposed to its aggressive and inhumane actions against its neighbor in the region.

Despite the veto and unlikelihood of an override, supporters of the resolution are still hailing its passage as a success.

“It sends a clear signal to the Saudis that they need to lift their blockade and allow humanitarian assistance into Yemen if they care about their relationship with Congress,” Khanna said in his statement. “This bipartisan and bicameral success will also caution this and future administrations from going to war without first seeking authorization from Congress.”

Khanna also vowed to continue the fight using the annual defense policy and spending bills.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who was the chief Senate sponsor, said he was “disappointed, but not surprised” at Trump’s veto.

“The people of Yemen desperately need humanitarian help, not more bombs,” Sanders tweeted. “I am disappointed, but not surprised, that Trump has rejected the bi-partisan resolution to end U.S. involvement in the horrific war in Yemen.”

Once again Trump proves that he is not an American and is unfit to claim the title of President of the United States.
