If you’ve read me before, you know that will never believe that Trump did not conspire with Putin to win the 2016 election. The amount of circumstantial evidence is overwhelming, and in any court of law a “preponderance of circumstantial evidence” is considered proof of a crime.
Ignoring the heavily redacted Mueller report, we must look at what Trump does every day to harm America and break the law.
Currently he is obstructing justice every day. Congressional Democrats demanded his tax returns, and information related to security clearances in the White House, among other records. This is one very important part of the responsibility of Congress; oversight of the Executive branch of government.
But Trump is attempting to defy the Constitution once again by not allowing scrutiny of his questionable actions. Let’s begin with an irrefutable truth. When individuals hide facts, they have something to hide. For example; Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders, two 2020 Democratic hopefuls, have already released years of income tax returns. Trump has refused to release any of his since 2016. He claims they are “under audit.” Really?
Trump and his stooge, Mick Mulvaney, have sworn to resist any and all subpoenas until 2021 when the 117th congress is sworn in. Those subpoenas will expire on January 3, 2021.
The one hope of the Democratically controlled House is based on subpoenas issued for businesses including Deutsche Bank. Many of Trump’s loans were obtained from that institution.
“Unlike the president, these outside entities understand that congressional subpoenas are mandatory, and they understand their legal obligation to comply with the law rather than obstruct it,” noted House Oversight Chair Elijah Cummings.
Finally, a fact. I, and many others who closely follow politics have learned that Trump’s entire life is filled with controversy and suspicion. We know that his deferments during the Vietnam War were bought and paid for by Father, Fred. It is obvious that he did not earn his degree from Wharton; just listen to his rants one time. His failures in business are too numerous to list. His successes were the result of investments from foreign nations. The 2016 election was rigged for him by Vladimir Putin. The people rejected him. Trump has been an agent for Putin since 1987. Most importantly, Trump has not seriously addressed a single issue which faced our nation on November 8, 2016.
Trump’s presidency is a complete failure. He touts the economy but had nothing to do with its success. The truth is that his policies have greatly harmed the tourist industry. He was forced to sign a 14-billion-dollar bailout for farmers because of his unilateral decision to place tariffs on imports. His “tax reform” has harmed the working class and greatly benefitted wealthy individuals and corporations. Another failure on a long list for a 73-year-old con man.
