“Tax Reform” is a Great Success if You’re the Richest Man in the World

Trump lies and his party supports him. His “tax reform” was a gift to wealthy Americans and corporations. Some working class Americans have learned that they are paying for these tax cuts with their own taxes. Tax refunds for the middle class record lesser amounts than one year ago.

Corporations received the biggest benefit. The top rate in 2018 was 35 percent. Corporations actually paid an average of 16 percent. The rate in 2019 is 21 percent. How is this working for America? It sucks.

The wealthiest man in the world is Jeff Bezos. You might have heard about his company; Amazon. Amazon paid zero taxes. Another company you might know who just raised its rates also paid no taxes; Netflix. Does this sound fair to you? If you said ‘yes,’ your last name must be Trump, or Ross, or DeVos, Mnuchin, Kushner, or some other member of Trump’s circle sinners.

In less than two years the deficit rose by one-trillion dollars under Trump’s illegitimate presidency.

The bottom line is that Trump and his administration are using their positions in our government to increase their personal wealth. They are also using the national treasury as their personal bank to continue their billionaire lifestyles.

Let’s be clear. Trump’s White House staff is filled with millionaires and billionaires. What Trump called a “swamp” is now a huge cesspool and his administration is covered in pond scum. Each tax cut is a gift to Trump and 539 other billionaires. Only one other group benefits to such a degree; there are 11.1 million millionaires in America. This is proof that more than 308 million Americans are paying for the lives of just a few; and the Trump and Kushner Klans are among them.

Trump is right; the economy is the greatest in history if you are the wealthiest one-percent of Americans. However, the wages for the working class are stagnant, and the federal minimum wage remains at $7.25 per hour; far below the poverty line.

This is Trump’s America, not mine, and not yours.
