S.E. Cupp is a conservative journalist and reporter. I have watched her for years and have a “love/hate” relationship with her. She was a supporter of George W. Bush and a constant critic of President Obama. Most of her opinions could be considered extreme. Her support of Republican politicians has been constant. It appears that Trump has forced her to break with her party. She has the courage to do what no other right-wing politician or pundit will; she is telling the truth.
After the Mueller Report was released, and although it was heavily redacted by Trump’s lackey, William Barr, Ms. Cupp now believes that Trump is a failure and a danger to our nation.
“This president is unfit to lead,” Cupp said on CNN’s “S.E. Cupp Unfiltered.” “He has shown time and time again his utter disdain for our democratic process, separation of powers, the law. He’s got to go. But not by impeachment.”
She explains why impeachment should not begin, although there are many failures by Trump suggesting such action could and probably should.
“The reality is without bipartisan support for such a drastic and disruptive maneuver it will only rip us apart even further, and that benefits Trump, not America,” Cupp continued. “Beat him at the ballot box. Beat him with ideas and policies. Beat him with an agenda that doesn’t divide us further, that isn’t just designed to piss off half the country or punish people who voted for him.”
My common sense says that she is basically right. However, Trump should be the poster boy for any man or woman who would make a mockery of the presidency, and disrespect both the Constitution and the American people. Lying to our nation constantly is unacceptable. I believe that impeachment would prevent another action by right-wing hypocrites to blindly support anyone who is mentally and emotionally unfit to claim the title of President of the United States.
