Trump’s Approval Rating Falling Again; How Low Can It Go?

Trump’s supporters have several things in common. They choose to be ignorant; the truth is too painful; and they share Trump’s beliefs in white supremacy, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, homophobia, and sexism. In reality, they are a cult. Trump is not only the worst president in history, he is the most despicable human in the world.

A recent poll shows Trump’s approval rating his dropped to its all time low at 39 percent. This is apparently the result of the damning content in the heavily redacted Mueller report. The truth is that if Trump’s cult members were excluded from the poll, and only real Americans were questioned, his approval rating would be in single digits.

Trump has failed to address a single issue which faced him in 2016. He has ignored the opioid crisis, which has become worse during his two years in office; white domestic terrorism has become the greatest danger to the American people; he has failed to improve the Affordable Care Act; the high cost of education has been ignored; income inequality is a growing problem; our infrastructure continues to crumble, and with Trump’s fiscal policies reducing the national treasury, it will continue to worsen; and he has failed to address our immigration problem, including what will happen to nearly 12 million men, women, and children who have been living illegally in America for decades. A “wall” is not the answer.

I agree with most Americans who believe that we, the people, who are the country, have a right to see the Mueller report without any censorship. We have a right to know the full truth. That said, what I have been able to read convinces me that Trump and his campaign staff, including Robert Mercer, Steve Bannon, Jeff Sessions, Junior, and Jared Kushner, among others, colluded with Russia to win the Electoral College. Facts show that Trump attempted to obstruct justice at least 10 times. If his staff had not refused to take action, Trump would be impeached today.

I have no doubt that the dossier composed by former MI6 agent, Christopher Steele, is 100 percent factual. Much of it has been confirmed and none of it has been disproven.

Every president has a legacy. Ronald Reagan harmed the working class; left our nation one-trillion dollars in debt and with an unemployment rate of 12 percent.

George H.W. Bush continued Reagan’s failed fiscal policy of “trickle-down economics” and left office without improving the economy.

Bill Clinton’s policies ended a stagnant economy. He left office in 2001, and our national treasury had a surplus of funds.

George W. Bush displayed a level of incompetency not seen from a President of the United States in modern times. He and Vice-President Dick Cheney ignored warnings from the CIA, NSA, and the FBI that an attack on U.S. soil was “imminent.” They went on vacation. Just weeks later, on September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 innocent Americans lost their lives. When he left office in 2009, America was engaged in two foolhardy and unwinnable wars, and a depression was looming.

President Obama inherited the most dire situation of any president in history. Two wars and a failing economy offered challenges not experienced by any other leader before him. When he left office in 2017, America was no longer at war in Iraq, and the economy was in full recovery. He accomplished this and much more while facing Mitch McConnell’s “party of no.”

What will Trump’s legacy be? I have multiple opinions including the fact that many of us will remember him as the first, and hopefully only, agent of the Russian government to live in the White House.
