Why Trump’s Party allows their illegitimate president to travel to Mar-a-Lago nearly every weekend is a question every American should be asking. Each trip costs taxpayers at least $3.4 million. When Trump travels to any of his millionaires-only resorts, or to his hate rallies across America, he travels on Air Force One. These excursions, for his personal pleasure, not designed to serve all Americans, begins with the cost of the president’s plane. Operating costs of Air Force One begin at $200,000 per hour. Minimum estimates of the Trump Klan’s cost to taxpayers each month is $16 million. Trump has been in office for over 27 months. That adds up to a minimum of 432 million taxpayer dollars. Now think about all the programs Trump has cut or eliminated and how many of them could have been saved if he acted like a real president. He has no interest in 99 percent of Americans.
Let’s not forget that each time Trump travels to Mar-a-Lago or any of his other resorts, he profits. Taxpayers are required to pay for food and lodging for the secret service and other men and women who travel with Trump. Extra security outside of the secret service is required and the bill is paid by you and me. Trump is making money from his own pleasure trips.
Then there was one trip in 2017 just reported; previously hidden by Trump’s administration. During an early visit to Mar-a-Lago in April of 2017, not long after Trump’s tiny inauguration, the secret service told the bar staff to leave. Trump staffers, including policy adviser, Steve Bannon, and assistant Chief of Staff, Joe Hagin, proceeded to raid the bar. After the fact the Mar-a-Lago staff sent a bill to the White House for $1,076.
This is a perfect example of the trash Trump chose for his staff. White supremacists, plutocrats, men and women who believe they are above the law, men and women without morals, xenophobes, homophobes; the worst of America are now running the government of the United States of America.
We must never forget that the Trump Party is complicit in his and his circle of sinner’s actions. They have abandoned their oaths of office and continue to ignore the American people and serve the worst president in history.
Trump is the worst thing to happen to America in 243 years. He and his party must be forced from Washington.
